Art speaks to places within me that I never knew existed and allows me to explore and experience more than I could ever imagine both at home in St. Louis and throughout my travels.
My work has taught me that beauty is a constant. Its existence transcends any given societal recognition or perception of it. It is free and accessible to all, if we look for it. My work is inspired by simple, common moments that are easily overlooked in this fast-paced world.
They feed the visual narratives of my artwork along with personal nostalgia and social observation. The imagery, themes, and color palettes are intentional, informed by research on artwork in healing environments.
I use materials and techniques ranging from acrylic inks and spray paints to collage and oil painting. I consider what techniques suit each concept the best as I feel how a piece is created is an integral part of its beauty and meaning.
Through my surreal and whimsical worlds I can provide a place of respite and reflection and at the same time, spur a enchantment with the beauty of this life we so often take for granted.
